Vanu... What?

On Monday I head out to Vanuatu, a small island most people have never heard of. Vanuatu is located off the coast of Australia and is where my sister and brother in law are living and serving as missionaries. I haven’t seen my sister in almost two years now and am very excited to visit her and her husband! I am looking forward to seeing in person what my sister does in the local community and how together with her husband they are bringing the kingdom of God to a people group. My parents will also be visiting and after serving in the village for a week we will travel to Australia together to spend some quality family time. I am very inspired by the way my sister and brother in-law have given up so much to answer to Gods call on their lives to reach the unreached with the Love of Jesus.

It is hard to leave Barcelona when everything is going so well, and God is working in exciting ways, but I trust this is a needed time to refresh personally, be supportive to my sister and connect with my family. For me it’s easy to get caught up with my own mission and not take the time to stay closely connected to the ones I love. The Lord has been speaking to me about this, taking a break and really cherishing and enjoying the beautiful family I have been blessed with.

The last big event that happened here in Barcelona was the international Skate Community Summit. This was a three-day gathering of missionaries from all over the world who came together to connect, share vision and encourage one another in their mission to share Jesus with skateboarders worldwide. Only God is capable of uniting skateboarders from every continent, here in this photo are skaters from China, Chile, Mexico, Canada, USA, Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

This photo is from a skate event I helped organize after the summit to bless the local skate scene of Barcelona. We were able to hold a really fun contest and at the end share about the Love of God and even bless the skatepark with a financial offering to keep building new ramps.

Panama Lab continues to serve skateboarders and build relationships through teaching the creative process of Photography. When I get back from my trip to visit my sister I will start working on a photo magazine, collaborating with local photographers.

Four new friends from Washington DC area who came out to Barcelona on a skate trip last month. I got to take them all around the city and share the gospel with them.

Seeds are being planted, others being cared for and we are seeing the fruit of the Spirit of God at work in the lives of skateboarders.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Please pray for my trip to visit my family and that the Lord would speak to me during this time.

DAVE TERRANOVA
