ONE school for artists!

Hello team

Slow down! Those two words are what I regularly have to tell myself as my natural tendency is to try to go fast and accomplish as much as possible. Lately I have been recognising more and more the need to pause, rest, listen and be present. This being said I want to apologise for the lack of updates over the past two months. I love writing these updates even though it is can be hard for me to slow down enough to do so. As I reflect and write I am reminded of why I am here in Barcelona, Gods faithfulness and the incredible team of supporters I have back home and throughout the world.

So much has happened since my last update... My main focus is currently the ONE school for artists that I have been involved with these last two months. I have had the opportunity to be a part of this incredible program, assisting the leadership team in guiding a group of 10 artist in their understanding of God and how art can be used as a language to communicate the Love and message from Gods heart. This has been such an blessing to be a part of because as the students are understanding that they were "created to create" I am also growing in my vision to see skateboarders discover their creativity. There are four weeks left of the school before they all head off to Norway to the second phase where they will focus on creating a personal body of work that will then be exhibited in Baltimore during the last phase of the school. There are so many incredible testimonies of these young artists getting huge breakthrough in their understanding of God the father and even encountering the Holy Spirit for the first time. The Creator has designed us to reflect Him, to co-create, bringing His beauty and truth into the darkest and most broken places. Our desire for this school is that you will be inspired and challenged through lectures and your surroundings, have plenty of time to create and do the work of making as well as learn what it means to engage and implement the truths God has instilled in you through your art to current culture and your global community.

BIG PRAYER REQUEST

Three weeks ago I received a letter from the embassy stating that my Visa renewal was rejected due to insufficient insurance coverage. The last few weeks I have been trying to resolve this issue with hopes of updating my documentation and reapplying for the Visa. It has been stressful to say the least, unable to get ahold of someone on the phone and no responses to my emails I have taken a last ditch effort to purchase a new insurance policy here in Spain that meets all Gov requirements and have had to hire a lawyer to plead my case and try to apply once again before my I would have to leave the country and start this visa process all over again from the US... that would be if it is not granted THIS WEEK. There are many more details but I simply ask for your prayers, I have peace and trust this matter is fully in Gods hands. This whole circumstance has actually been a blessing because it has shown me that I truly have a family here in Spain, people have been fighting side by side with me in this, encouraging me and praying for me daily! I am so blessed to be serving God the way I am and I see this as a test of Faith and a confirmation of my calling.

PS... I have to pay an additional 800 EUR for new health insurance and 250 EUR for a lawyer, I trust God will provide every last penny that I need just as he always has. Please join me in praying for this provision and if you feel led to help out with this extra financial need please let me know.

Last but not least... I want to share something VERY exciting with all of you. Its a long story full of exciting little details that I will have to summarize and continue to share in future posts. Over the last few months I have been getting to know "someone special" her name is Loida, it has been a crazy adventure that I did not see coming! I am so blessed and excited about this new season with Loida, she is absolutely incredible and has brought so much joy to my life. I can sense Gods blessing and direction as we have taken these first steps with care and acknowledging Gods leading along the way. This is so new for the both of us and we are currently enjoying getting to know each other more and more. I will share more later but wanted to let people in on this exciting time. Please be praying for Gods guidance and blessing to continue leading us in all wisdom and Love.
